Giovanni van Bronckhorst is reportedly looking to return to his native Netherlands. The Dutch media had reported that Giovanni van Bronckhorst wanted to return to the Netherlands because he wanted to be closer to his family. According to the latest news, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will end his contract with Guangzhou R&F this year. Since COVID-19 attacked China the local government had made new regulations to return foreigners to their home countries due to very uncertain conditions. Chinese football has also implemented a new system since COVID-19 hit the city, the Chinese FA confirmed it will use players from its own country to protect foreigners from contracted COVID-19. However, it is unclear so far whether Giovanni will coach a Dutch club or not after returning to the Netherlands.

Bayern Munich player Joshua Kimmich has been seen returning to training.
